Sean Spicer just resigned! Immediately after President Trump announced that Anthony Scaramucci was to become the next communication director Spicer turn in his resignation. Spicer declined Trump’s request to stay on and told the President that hiring Anthony Scaramucci was a huge mistake.
Six months ago, Sean Spicer took to the podium and has battled with the press since day one. Spicer has made some mistakes along the way and the President has been unhappy with his performance for awhile. Recently, Sean Spicer has taken a step back from public view and Sarah Huckabee Sanders has done most of the daily briefings.
Anthony Scaramucci is a New York financier and has supported Trump for a longtime. Before Scaramucci was appointed to be the new communications director Sean Spicer was taking over those duties.
WHO’S GOING TO REPLACE SEAN SPICER?
Kimberly Guilfoyle, a host for Fox News, has been in contact with the Trump administration to take over the position as White House press secretary. There is a lot of speculation that she will replace Spicer and become the first woman White House press secretary.
Earlier this week, Guilfoyle spoke about the job saying “If you want to be successful and do communications with President Trump, you have to be someone who he actually wants to spend a little bit of time with – I think I have a very good relationship with the president.”
She seems to understand what the job needs and respects the difficulties that come with the job. Sean Spicer just left some big shoes to fill but this likely candidate might just be the person to do it.
